Event Description
Whales. Researchers. You?
Join the Marine Education and Research Society for a wildlife watching trip on Saturday October 18, 2025 departing from Campbell River.
The excursion will be ~7 hours long aboard the M.V. Tenacious III with the highly experienced crew from Campbell River Whale Watching AND two MERS team members aboard (please note that team members on each trip will vary).
This special whale watching experience will focus on Humpback Whales, with the MERS team sharing details about our research and allowing you to experience what it is like to observe, study and identify these animals. We will also view and share information on the other plentiful marine wildlife found in this area during the Fall.
Check in will be at 8:15 am at the Campbell River Whale Watching office, E Dock at the Discovery Harbour Marina. The trip will depart by 9 am and will return to the dock around 4 pm. Lunch is included.
The cost of this trip is $400. All funds raised will go directly to MERS’ education, research and response work. Only 20 spots are available.
